last time on Hank's favorite songs:

Steely Dan - "Here at the Western World" and "Kid Charlemagne"
The Band - "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down"
Neil Young - "Tell Me Why"
Paul Simon - "Still Crazy..." and "Slip Slidin' Away"
John Lennon - "Hold On Yoko"
Will Oldham - "Hard Life"

this time:

Thin Lizzy - "The Boys Are Back in Town" and "Dancin' in the Moonlight"
Steely Dan - "Haitian Divorce" and "My Old School"
Steve Perry - "Oh Sherry" (and Journey's "Don't Stop Believing")
Sam Cooke - "Change Gonna Come"

see a lot of this stuff is "common" and whatnot, but sometimes it just hits you how good it is.

"Tell me why / Is it hard to make arrangements with yourself..."

maybe we'll do best metal albums...

Metallica - Ride the Lightning
Morbid Angel - Covenant
Morbid Angel - Domination
Carcass - Heartwork
Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power

got that?

just saw Bill Dixon for the second time in two months. don't miss him if you get the chance. also, don't eat ribs while he's playing like i did--or tried to.

recording is next, then a show in Philly on 9/3, then some other things.

if you are a record label, why not, uh, put out the next Stay Fucked record?

Hank from Stay Fucked (i.e. me) is now playing the drums in Aa (Big A little a). we're playing in Philly on 8/10 (at the Khyber, i think). check here for info.
